It’s here! Awakening Fertility

The sequel–or some would say prequel–to The First Forty Days is born! Four years after that book arrived, establishing an important niche in postpartum care for mothers and selling, frankly, like hotcakes, its sibling has arrived. Awakening Fertility: The Essential Art of Preparing for Pregnancy brings the same spirit of loving guidance—stemming from ancestral traditions merged with modern considerations—to this pre-mothering phase. May it find the same heartfelt audience that F40D has done! Available now at Abrams Books.

Deep at work on a book that captures the wisdom, the laughter and tears, and the real talk of Ms Jada Pinkett Smith’s super popular Facebook show Red Table Talk for Dial Press. What a treasure chest of genuine, open-hearted and courageous sharing! I’m falling in love with this show and with Jada’s personal spirit and light–and totally vibing with her real hunger for self-awareness and growth. Such a special experience to sit with her and talk. She’s the real deal!

Just launched from Rodale Books: A brilliant collaboration I did with renowned healer and subtle medicine guru Dr. Linda Lancaster. Foreword by Terry Tempest Williams, testamonials by Robert Redford and others. Not a bad mix of legends in one book! Dr. L explains how to safely live in a polluted world, tending to your physical, mental, and emotional fields. Working on this book turned my brain inside out … please read it and change your mind about health and wellness too! For a quick glimpse, see the Look Inside feature here.

The pungent manure smell wafting through my mother’s Wiltshire cottage this morning is one clue that an extraordinary phenomenon is coming to an end. The steady drone of combine harvesters all night every night for a week is another. As the giant machines shave down the quivering golden wheat fields that surround the house into neat, cadet-like crew cuts, and then plough the soil full of cow poop to ready them for next season, the raw canvas for nature’s astounding display of crop circles is getting diminished by the day…. To read more about my close encounters with crop circles, visit Reality Sandwich here.
