Putting pioneering ideas into words that work can be tricky.

When you are doing something that hasn’t been done before, are creating something that defies convention—or are creating a whole new genre—getting your message and story across effectively can feel like bottling fireflies.

That’s where I come in.

Using words in ways that help readers truly connect, feel, and share what you are saying takes thoughtfulness and a willingness to go deep.

I am a writer who has has spent a lifetime getting out of my head and into my heart. One who craves to experience the world, not just read about it; and who believes that most of the time, silence is golden.

I try to write in a way that moves a reader towards direct experience. A feeling, a knowing, an act of stepping out of the norm and stepping closer to something good.

My personal mission is to do this with, and in service of, people, companies, and movements who care about creating more connection, meaning, and depth as much as I do.

I call it Distilling wisdom to its essence and inspiring change.

I have written all kinds of things, with and for all kinds of people, brands, companies, and causes.

I started at fashion magazines and the hustle and glam of Madison Avenue. This morphed into brand writing for some of the most recognized luxury brands in the world (with a brief detour through early dot.com) … which led into collaborative book writing and story telling with powerful voices of our time—people whose messages about living better, healing stronger, and reclaiming lost wisdom were jumping to be shared.

Along the way I have helped brands define their niches in the health and wellness space, written copy for new products, created moving essays for magazine publication, and supported iconoclastic individuals to publish their memoirs. I have written press release copy, website copy, positioning statements for new companies, brands, and projects.

I also write my own stories.

These days, I love partnering with visionaries who create more than books and brands and are conceiving and building containers oriented to community, connection and growth such as courses, events, gatherings, and groundbreaking creative projects in service of the new earth.

More About Me

  • There are quite a few! I have written with and for a range of people with incredible knowledge to share. Most recently, I’ve helped metabolic health pioneer Dr Casey Means complete her book Good Energy (Avery Press) and developed a new menopause project with integrative women’s health guru Dr. Aviva Romm. I have written The Energy Paradox with health and longevity expert Dr. Steven Gundry (Harper Wave) and published Nine Golden Months (third in the trilogy of The First Forty Days franchise from Abrams Books). Previously I wrote the functional and holistic health bible How To Be Well with integrative health expert Dr Frank Lipman. I have also helped health experts edit, re-write, or complete manuscripts in progress.

Celebrity projects have included an unpublished project for Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk, the fitness and self-development book Grit & Grace with Tim McGraw (Harper Wave), Hilaria Baldwin’s lifestyle book for Rodale, two books with Mariel Hemingway, and the classic that started my collaborative career: Fabulosity with Kimora Lee Simmons.

  • I am a collaborator, which means I try to be a partner in the whole project, including conceiving the project, and even helping with promotion and marketing. I can ghostwrite in an author’s voice as needed, too.

  • A host of brands in the health and wellness space as well as fashion, beauty and food. Recent and longterm clients include Juice Generation, NYC’s premier juicery, Beautycounter, The Well (membership health sanctuary), HoliFrog and Current State of Skin skincare, as well as global organizations like the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. Previously, my expertise was in the luxury brand market. For many years, from its launch, I was the copywriter for Tom Ford Beauty, one of the most successful beauty brands in the world. In my earlier days, I also created custom publishing projects around women’s health and (yes) sustainability efforts for global brands such as Nike, Wal-Mart and Jockey clothing.

  • Not really! I studied Semiotics and Modern Culture and Media at Brown University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. My writing education started during my secondary education in the UK, and also came from reading lots and lots of British style magazines of the 90s.

  • It still lives in an alternate dimension, but it may be landing earthside soon.

  • Genuine creative collaboration projects that use words and ideas as part of a story that gathers humans together in real life to create the more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible.

  • I spend a lot of time on my family’s quasi-homestead creating a more resilient environment. Translation: a lot of weeding, watering, and keeping things growing. I cook endless amounts of food and preserve our harvests as best I can. In my community, I hold Girls’ Circles for girls and mothers with my daughter. I am a current student of the extraordinary offerings of Biomancy with Dr. Azra and Seren Bertrand. I am a longtime student of mystic Deirdre Hade and trained as a teacher of Vedic Meditation. I make time every day to greet the sun, breathe in the trees, and stand under the stars and moon.
